1. New Relevant Development for Brand Owners in South America
A large highway infrastructure planned by Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, and Chile is set to connect four ports in the Pacific Ocean to the major port of Santos in Brazil linking the Atlantic and Pacific Ocean in South America. The project, called Bi-Oceanic Corridor, is a highway with estimated 2,200 kilometers that will bring an approximate total investment US$10 billion to the region. The highway will cross the regions of Mato Grosso do Sul in Brazil, Gran Chaco in Paraguay, two provinces in Argentina, and regions of Chile.
2. New Panama Canal
This project is being called by the locals a “new Panama Canal” because it will save about 30% in logistics costs. A large increase of commerce in the region is expected, as the development of the mega highway will bring business and investments to the region.
