This year again, the INPI was present on the France Pavilion stand at CES Las Vegas, alongside Business France and French Tech.
The institute and its partners accompanied a French delegation of 110 companies, including 100 start-ups in the French Pavilion and 10 innovative companies in the Automotive Pavilion.
All these companies had been selected through a competition, in various technological sectors (Internet of Things, entertainment, well-being, mobility, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, robotics, etc.) by a jury of experts from the ecosystem for the innovative nature of their products.
Among the start-ups present, 80% were discovering CES for the first time. All were able to benefit from comprehensive support from the INPI and Business France, including sessions to prepare for the American market and workshops on pitch1.
This event was notably an opportunity for the INPI to raise awareness among French companies present of the importance of protecting themselves in the USA, by showing them concretely the risks they run even when they exhibit their innovations in front of around 140 visitors.
Presentation of the Consumer Tech trophy by the INPI
On January 9, the INPI awarded the Consumer Tech Trophy to the start-up Octavio.
Octavio is a French company specializing in the design and manufacture of connected audio products.
The solution it offers its customers - Harmony - transforms their living room into a spatial and immersive experience, offering exceptional sound quality with simplified installation, whatever the speaker configuration and from any audio source (TV, games console, turntable, CD player, etc.).
The start-up had previously been selected among the companies in the French Pavilion from the consumer technology sector.2.
Participating start-ups were invited to “pitch” in front of a jury composed of INPI and Business France.
The presentation of the trophy was followed by a speech by Stéphanie Leparmentier, INPI Regional Advisor in Washington.
