On 25 April, the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) outlined its legislative work plan for 2025, focusing on enhancing the legal framework to better protect IP rights and foster innovation.

According to the plan, in 2025 CNIPA will advance the amendment of the Trade Mark Law, review the Regulations on the Protection of Integrated Circuit Layout Design and its implementing rules, and further revise the Patent Examination Guidelines and the Patent Agency Management Measure.
