The US Copyright Office announced that the 
Copyright Public Records System (CPRS) has replaced its Online Public Catalog. CPRS provides copyright registration and recordation data with advanced search capabilities, filters and improved interfaces for public users and Office staff.

Appointments

Colin Birss appointed as Chancellor of the High Court

The Rt Hon Lord Justice Colin Birss has been appointed as the new Chancellor of the High Court with effect from 1 November 2025. He started his judicial career as a Deputy Chairman of the Copyright Tribunal in 2009, was appointed as a Senior Circuit Judge in 2010, as a High Court Judge assigned to the Chancery Division in 2013 and as a Judge of the Court of Appeal in 2021. He is currently the Deputy Head of Civil Justice and Lead Judge for Artificial Intelligence. For more information see

Denmark to tackle deepfakes by giving people copyright over their own features
