Business briefing hosted by the Japan Patent Office (Trademark Examiner)
Online business briefing session (for first-time users)
For those attending the trademark examiner briefing session for the first time, young staff members will provide an easy-to-understand explanation of the outline of the Japan Patent Office and the duties of a trademark examiner.
There will also be cross-talk (interviews) between staff members, so you will be able to get a feel for the personalities and atmosphere of the staff who actually work there.
Of course, we also welcome people who have participated before but would like to hear about the work again.
You can turn off your camera and come and go as you please, so please feel free to join us!
*This event is scheduled to be held regularly in preparation for government visits in fiscal year 2026. The schedule below will be updated as soon as the dates for each event are decided.

Talk session with trademark examiners (reservation required) (Events for the 2025 government office visits have ended.)

"What is a trademark?" "What does trademark examination involve?" "Is it true that there are other areas of activity besides examination?" Current trademark examiners will answer all of your questions!
At each event, young and mid-career trademark examiners will give explanations and hold roundtable discussions, and there will also be a corner where you can experience the actual work. Please check the details of each event and be sure to participate.

Individual business explanation (advance reservation required)
At a time and date that is convenient for you, staff will hold a one-on-one Q&A session and provide an explanation of the work (depending on the number of applications, the session may be limited to a small group). If you have any preferences regarding the content, please feel free to write down any concerns or topics you would like to hear about when applying, such as "I would like to have a frank discussion with young staff," "I am interested in the work of XX and would like to hear more about it," or "I am unsure where I want to work." We will do our best to accommodate your requests.
