The European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) is pleased to announce that the official report from the IPEP Forum 2024 is now available.
Held biennially, the IPEP Forum brings together the IP Enforcement Portal (IPEP) user community—including rights holders, enforcement authorities, legal representatives, intermediaries, and EU institutions—to exchange insights and strengthen cooperation in the field of intellectual property enforcement.
This year’s Forum focused on the evolving challenges in IP enforcement, including the daily problems of postal and courier shipment hubs (airports), the ones of big ports when it comes to container shipments, issues with storage and destruction and the cooperation on the identification of counterfeits on e-commerce marketplaces
The report provides a comprehensive overview of the discussions, key conclusions and proposed best practices, and future priorities identified during the Forum. It also outlines the latest enhancements to the IPEP platform, which continues to serve as a secure and efficient tool for rights holders and enforcement authorities to collaborate and protect IP rights across the EU.
