The European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) expresses its deepest condolences and solidarity with the people of the Philippines following the recent earthquake

“We are deeply saddened by the loss of life caused by the earthquake. I extend my heartfelt condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims. At the EUIPO, we stand in solidarity with the people of the Philippines during this difficult time”, said João Negrão, Executive Director of the EUIPO.

Extension of time limits
The EUIPO has issued Decision No EX-25-11 of 1 October 2025 granting an extension of time limits for parties in proceedings before the Office having their residence or registered office in the Republic of the Philippines. All time limits expiring between 30 September 2025 and 31 October 2025 (inclusive) are extended until 1 November 2025.
