The European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) expresses its condolences and solidarity with the people of the Republic of the Philippines in the aftermath of Typhoon Kalmaegi, which has caused extensive loss of life, severe destruction and the displacement of hundreds of thousands of people.
In recognition of the serious disruption caused, the EUIPO has adopted Decision No EX-25-15, extending all procedural deadlines for parties having their residence or registered office in the Republic of the Philippines, where proceedings before the Office fall within the affected period.
“Our thoughts are with all those who have lost loved ones and whose lives have been deeply affected by the devastating impact of Typhoon Kalmaegi. We stand in solidarity with the Filipino people during this time of recovery and rebuilding,” said João Negrão, Executive Director of the EUIPO.
