The Ministry of Intellectual Property (MOIP), in cooperation with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO)* and the Korea Invention Promotion Association (KIPA), announced that it will host the “Advanced International Certificate Course (AICC)** from November 3 (Mon) to 6 (Thu) at the Korea Intellectual Property Center in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.

This year, 35 outstanding learners from 23 countries were selected from among 1,364 participants across 119 countries who completed the online course based on “IP Panorama 2.0”, an IP business e-learning program jointly developed by MOIP, WIPO, and KIPA. Through this in-depth, in-person training, IP professionals from around the world are expected to gain practical insights into developing effective strategies for IP management and utilization.
The offline course will cover a wide range of topics on the effective use of intellectual property in international business management, including ▲ IP valuation and financing ▲ latest IP trends such as artificial intelligence (AI) ▲ patent rating and utilization cases ▲ IP licensing strategies ▲ and practical exercises on IP licensing negotiations.In particular, the program includes sessions on developing IP management strategies and dispute response approaches for start-ups and venture companies, providing participants with hands-on knowledge for strengthening their business management capabilities.
Distinguished experts—including professors from renowned law schools and business schools in the United States and New Zealand, as well as judges from the Patent Court of Korea—will participate as lecturers for the program.
Since its launch in 2010, this course has provided training on IP-based business strategies for IP professionals from the private sector, academia, and government worldwide. To date, over 15,000 participants from 188 countries have completed the program.
Huh Jae-woo, President of the International Intellectual Property Training Institute (IIPTI) under MOIP, stated, “We hope that this international IP training program, developed and operated by Korea, will contribute to nurturing global talent in the intellectual property field. Going forward, we will continue to expand ‘K-IP Education’ and actively support the development of more global IP professionals.”
