On 11 February 2026, the Hellenic Copyright Organization (HCO) and the University of Nicosia signed a Memorandum of Educational Cooperation aimed at promoting knowledge, research, and public awareness in the field of intellectual property.

The cooperation includes, among other initiatives, the co-organization of scientific events and workshops, internship opportunities for students at the HCO, lectures delivered by HCO executives at the University of Nicosia, as well as the participation of members of the academic community and students in HCO activities and initiatives.

The Memorandum was signed by the Chief Executive Officer of the University of Nicosia, Mr. Antonis Polemitis, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the HCO, Mr. Panagiotis Tsiris.

Within the framework of the Memorandum, a joint conference will be co-organized in Athens in May 2026, focusing on Collective Management and Artificial Intelligence.
