Recently, the 2026 symposium and exchange event on foreign-related intellectual property protection was held in Qingdao. Zhang Zhicheng, Deputy Commissioner of the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), attended the event and delivered a speech.

Zhang Zhicheng stressed the need to accurately grasp the new situation of foreign-related intellectual property protection, to resolve the new problems in foreign-related intellectual property protection work in a coordinated manner, to make solid efforts in improving service capabilities, efficiently integrating resources and strengthening inter-departmental coordination and linkage, and to consolidate territorial responsibilities, so as to ensure that foreign-related intellectual property protection work delivers concrete results.

Representatives of the relevant CNIPA departments and local intellectual property offices participated in the event, and, centering on thoroughly implementing the decisions and arrangements of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council and solidly advancing all aspects of the work of guidance on responding to foreign-related intellectual property disputes, delivered exemplary presentations and exchanged views on their work.
