The Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (SPTO) successfully implemented Front Office version 3 for designs and e-Services on 23 July 2026. This achievement is the result of the collaboration between the SPTO and the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) on European Union Intellectual Property Network (EUIPN) tools.

The new online tool improves functionality and security in comparison to the previous version. Moreover, it includes a completely redesigned user interface with enhanced user experience, facilitating access for people with disabilities, providing compatibility with the latest browsers on the market and the possibility to use the tool on different types of devices.

This implementation is part of the work carried out by the EUIPO and its EUIPN partners under the European Cooperation Projects framework to improve and upgrade the EUIPN's existing tools, and its subproject 'Consistent User Experience – Digital Evolution'. The ECPs support national IP offices and other EUIPN members in developing more efficient, reliable and user-friendly tools and services for trade marks and designs.
