PUBLIC NOTICE

Subject: Extension of Time for Completion of Mandatory e-KYC up to 31.08.2026

The Office of the Controller General of Patents, Designs and Trade Marks (CGPDTM) has been receiving representations and queries from stakeholders regarding the mandatory e-KYC process. In view of the encouraging participation and the valuable feedback received from stakeholders during the Open House Session held on 04.08.2026, and with a view to facilitating wider stakeholder participation and ensuring smooth completion of the mandatory e-KYC process, it has been decided to extend the last date for completion of the mandatory e-KYC from 09.08.2026 to 31.08.2026.

Accordingly, all stakeholders who have not yet completed the mandatory e-KYC are advised to do so on or before 31.08.2026 to avoid any inconvenience or disruption in availing the services of the Intellectual Property Office.

In case of any technical issues or queries relating to the e-KYC process, stakeholders may write at support.ipo@gov.in, patentagent-ipo@gov.in and trademarkagent-tmr@gov.in for assistance.

The cooperation of all stakeholders in completing the mandatory e-KYC process within the extended timeline is earnestly solicited.

A separate open house session to address any technical difficulties encountered by stakeholders during the e-KYC process will be announced shortly.
