The JPO delivered a tailored training program on patent examination practices for patent examiners from the Philippines!

From June 29 to July 3, 2026, the JPO conducted a training program for patent examiners from the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL). At the request of IPOPHL, the program covered practices in International Search and International Preliminary Examination, as well as patent examination practices in the field of healthcare informatics.

Two International Training Instructors from the JPO Global Patent Academy, Dr. NOGUCHI and Mr. NAGANO, together with two assistant instructors, Mr. HORIE and Mr. TAKIZAWA, led the program. A total of 103 patent examiners from IPOPHL participated in the program.

The JPO will continue to support the development and enhancement of patent examination systems in emerging countries!
