Unauthorized third parties have set up spoofed websites replicating the visual appearance, logos, and layout of official EUIPO web pages. These replica sites are designed to deceive visitors into believing they are using genuine EUIPO services, with the objective of misleading them into running unauthorized actions or downloading harmful software.

The EUIPO confirms that official systems and databases have not been compromised.

Legitimate security checks never ask you to run system commands: Official verification steps (such as CAPTCHAs) will never ask you to open your operating system's command line, PowerShell, Terminal, or Run dialog, nor will they ask you to copy and paste code onto your device.

Always verify the domain: Fraudulent sites are hosted on external domains outside the EUIPO’s infrastructure. Before interacting with any online service or following on-screen instructions, ensure you are browsing on the genuine EUIPO website: https://euipo.europa.eu

Check the address bar: Always confirm the web address ends strictly in .europa.eu (e.g., euipo.europa.eu). If the domain name looks altered, misspelled, or uses an unfamiliar extension, close the tab immediately.

Never execute unexpected prompts: Do not follow instructions on websites asking you to paste code or execute commands on your local computer to "verify you are human" or "fix an error."

Report suspicious sites: If you encounter a website mimicking the EUIPO or suspect you have interacted with one, please report it immediately to the EUIPO Customer Department or your local IT security team.
