CNIPA leadership leads delegation on working visit to Mexico and Canada at invitation

Recently, at the invitation of the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property and the Canadian Intellectual Property Office, ZHANG Zhicheng, Deputy Commissioner of the China National Intellectual Property Administration, led a delegation on a working visit to Mexico and Canada. The delegation held bilateral talks with the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property and the Canadian Intellectual Property Office, signed respectively a supplementary agreement to the China-Mexico memorandum of understanding on intellectual property cooperation and a new China-Canada memorandum of understanding on intellectual property cooperation, and held in-depth exchanges on topics including the latest developments in the intellectual property systems of the two countries, intellectual property protection, the application of artificial intelligence technologies, and future cooperation between the two offices.

During the visit, the delegation, together with the Canada China Business Council and the Canadian Intellectual Property Office, held a symposium for enterprises, at which it briefed Canadian companies on the latest developments in China’s intellectual property work; it also visited Chinese-funded enterprises in Canada to learn about their overseas intellectual property protection situation and needs. While abroad, the delegation also called on the Chinese Embassy in Mexico and the Chinese Embassy in Canada respectively and conducted work exchanges.
