To thoroughly study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important expositions on education and his important instructions on intellectual property work, the China National Intellectual Property Administration recently held, jointly with the Ministry of Education, a National Training Course for University Intellectual Property Teachers in Beijing. Responsible officials from the Department of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education and the Department of Personnel of the China National Intellectual Property Administration attended the opening ceremony and delivered remarks. Nearly 70 front-line teachers from universities including Tsinghua University and Peking University participated in the training.
The training course designed its curriculum around "three highlights" and invited senior experts and scholars in the field to give lectures. First, it highlighted policy promotion, providing interpretations of the relevant contents of the 15th Five-Year Plan; second, it highlighted practical orientation, offering courses on the cultivation of foreign-related talent and the integration of industry and education in teaching; third, it highlighted cutting-edge trends, responding to new requirements for talent cultivation in fields such as artificial intelligence. Participants said that the training both resolved their conceptual questions and imparted classroom methods, playing a role in building on strengths, consolidating foundations, making up for shortcomings and strengthening weak areas.
This training course is the first special training for university teachers organized by the Administration in recent years. It is an important measure to implement the work of "strengthening the cultivation of intellectual property talent" set out in the 15th Five-Year Plan for Intellectual Property Protection and Utilization, and, by deepening training, provides strong talent support for a good start to the cause of intellectual property during the 15th Five-Year Plan period.
