The meeting of the Administrative Council of the Eurasian Patent Organization was held in Dushanbe, attended by the heads of the patent offices of all the organization’s Member States.

Key outcomes:

• The EAPO’s 2025 annual report was approved

• The EAPO’s 2027 budget was adopted

• The conclusion of an agreement with WIPO on the EAPO performing the functions of the International Searching Authority and the International Preliminary Examining Authority within the PCT system for the next 10-year period was approved

• The Eurasian Patent Organization’s accession to the Riyadh Design Law Treaty was approved

• The Chair and Vice Chairs of the Administrative Council were elected for the next two years: Kristine Ambaryan, Plenipotentiary Representative of Armenia and Head of the IP Office of Armenia, was elected Chair; Alexei Kurman, Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Belarus and Director General of the National IP Center, and Sholpan Abdreeva, Plenipotentiary Representative of Kazakhstan and Chair of the Committee on IP Rights at the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan, were elected Vice-Chairs.
