Pursuant to Article 26 of the Measures for the Protection of Geographical Indication Products, upon application by the People’s Government of Zhongxian County, Chongqing Municipality, and after preliminary examination by the Chongqing Intellectual Property Office, CNIPA has amended the protection requirements for the geographical indication product Zhongzhou fermented bean curd (Zhongxian fermented bean curd). The amendment is hereby announced as follows.

In “Quality and Technical Requirements for Zhongzhou Fermented Bean Curd (Zhongxian Fermented Bean Curd),” Section “IV. Quality Characteristics,” item “2. Physicochemical indicators,” in former AQSIQ Announcement No. 51 of 2012, “total acid (as lactic acid) ≥ 1.2 g/100 g” is adjusted to “total acid (as lactic acid) ≤ 1.2 g/100 g.”
