To advance online litigation–mediation docking for IP disputes, raise mediation effectiveness and strengthen people’s mediators’ skills, the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region Administration for Market Regulation (IP Office), together with the Ningxia Justice Department and the Ningxia People’s Mediators Association, recently held a special training course for IP dispute people’s mediators across the region. About 120 mediators from IP people’s mediation organizations, judicial administration staff and IP lawyers took part.

Judges from the IP tribunal of the regional high people’s court and local IP experts taught online and offline. Training focused on judicial practice in IP civil disputes and mediation of patent infringement disputes, using adjudication practice and typical mediation cases to clarify legal application and hands-on methods. Participants said the course was substantial and closely matched mediators’ needs. It helped mediators grasp the latest IP policy direction, standardize the full mediation process, and built a regional learning platform—raising professionalism and authority of IP mediation and filling gaps in local mediation capacity, which matters for improving diversified resolution of IP disputes.

Next, the Ningxia IP office will continue to improve litigation–mediation docking, give full play to people’s mediation as front-end prevention in IP disputes, normalize docking, and build an efficient, convenient, fair and just IP protection system.
